Studio Five Beekman presented its last show in August 2000. The building at 5 Beekman Street changed hands and the new owners (rumored to be Air France) terminated the leases of all the tenants.

In April 2001 Schumacher and Liz Gerring opened Diapason, a gallery for sound and intermedia located at 1026 Sixth Avenue at 39th Street. For more information go to www.diapasongallery.org.
